HEALTHY HOT CHOCOLATE
SERVE PER PERSON | GLUTEN FREE | DAIRY FREE | VEGAN
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ‘mug-full’ of preferred milk (I use almond) 
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder 
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup 
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract 
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 
- 1 star anise or 1 chai tea bag 
- 1 tsp good quality dark chocolate [optional] 
METHOD
Place all ingredients into a saucepan. Whisk to combine. Place over medium heat and stir until almost simmering. Remove from heat. Whisk vigorously to froth the milk. Pour into serving mug. Top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a little grated dark chocolate.
